So I found a great new spot here in the Keys.
Subway. I can get a footlong meatball sub, chips, and a free-refill fountain drink
and stay here for hours in their AC store working on the laptop. Now if only there
was a wireless point near. I usually don't have to do much searching to find one,
there was one near the most southern point in the US statue, and this morning I
was at a really nice coffee shop that had one. It turned out to be the strip bar's
next door's tho, and it went away :(.

I just rented a nice bike with a basket from my hotel, 10$ for 24 hours. It sure
beats walking but I'm getting used to riding, haven't rid(?) in years.
Everyone down here's pretty friendly for the most part. I still expect some
tourist traps, like the maid to steel my stuff or the people I rented my bike from
to cut the chain and steel the bike back when I park it somewhere so they could
charge me 175$ for losing it, but it hasn't happened yet.

So the wedding's over. It actually went pretty well. I was such a nervous reck
tho while shooting. I'm not even getting paid, but imagine someone paid for your
plane ticket to the Keys and a place to stay for 3 days (500$+ total), you'd want
to get them some damn good pictures of their "once in a lifetime" event. But I don't
really have much formal training, i'm not even a photo major, and beaches are one of
the hardest environements to shoot in. Meter for the bright sky and your subjects are
pitch black (not to mention the sun making your subjects squint, casting harsh
shadows, messing up your meter, and causing huge lens flares). Meter for the subject
and your sky is white-out. I had to teach myself how to use fill-flash on a street corner via the web. Surprisingly I've hardly ever used my flash, now that I look back, I really should have. The 1/150 second max flash sync is what made me panick. So I did my best
to take AS MANy pictures as I can. I ended up with a few that I think they'll like and
you don't even know how much of a releif that is.

So I got tomorrow all to myself. To bad i'll be spending most of it working on Jason's
last Flash project. Maybe i'll do it at the beach.

Subway closed so I went to the Southernmost landmark access point. You might cal
l it the "southernmost accesspoint in the US" har har. (everything around here is labeled
"southernmost in the US", like house, restaurant, INN, pharmacy, etc)

I feel like a homeless packrat kid of this city. I ride around on my little bike that has a
basket and go to the closest accesspoints I know of around the city when I need to use
the internet. Maybe I won't go back home, I'll just turn nomadic, and ride around the city
peddling my photos to the tourists for food money when my credit card expires. Jen you
could be my nomadic girlfrind. You could ride in my basket.

Erg, Mosquito's at night, i need to buy some bugspray.
