Rurouni Kenshin, let me tell you how much I love it.
You guys, you guys. I freaking love Rurouni Kenshin and I don't think I have talked nearly enough about it here.
So first off I watch a lot of anime and recently I rewatched Madoka Magica so people who I hang out with in real life got to see me go Madoka Magica for like a week. That was good times. So as anytime when I finish a series I have to pick a new one. So I decided to watch the second season of Rurouni Kenshin. Why the second season you ask? Because it is the best season.
Now there are many reasons I love Rurouni Kenshin and they differ from the anime to the manga. I love the anime because it is old school and ridiculous. I love the manga because of the art, the story and Nobuhiro Watsuki's commentary about characters. (not to mention the fabulous historical tidbits)
My favorite thing about both of them is Kenshin. I don't know what it is about him, the fact that he fights so hard to stick by his vow to not kill anyone ever again, the fact that he fights so hard to protect those around him, that he isn't invincible and doesn't power stack, that he does have a limit to his sword fighting skills. The fact that for the longest time he fought not caring if he lived or died and then realized he wanted to live for the people he loves and cares about. In short I kind of adore him to pieces. And him and Tomoe. I like Kaoru and all but Kenshin and Tomoe makes me flailpaws with happiness and sadness.
Okay now I am done fangirl gushing. You might see more Rurouni Kenshin entries later but for now I am going to go read Economics. whoooooo
