Strike Often, Spare No One
Last night was a league night and the improvement continues. Even still, my aim remains a wee tad off and many frames were left open by the end of the evening. The first game, I bowled a meager 113... mostly because Josephine decided she liked the left side of the lane. Luckily my teammates were more on the ball, per se, and bowled very high for their average.
The second game, I squeaked out a 136. I really did not feel like I was shooting better, but I must have marked a few more frames to give me a bit of a boost.
On the third game, I shot my first turkey. Two strikes in a row will prop up a sagging game... three strikes lights a fire under it. Considering that I tied my high score of 168 as a result should give an indication of the marginal nature on how rest of the game played out.
Still, a turkey is a turkey and I hope this little breakthrough means that they won't be so scarce from now on.
