several unrelated thoughts

First, everyone go check out [this link right here], it's a short read but a powerful one. (It's a blog post regarding disability and public perception and identity and such.)

Second, am in a bit better of a mood than previously. It helps that I accomplished something: I finished up [a drabble] that's been in the back of my brain for months. I'm not sure how coherent it is-- this is my first attempt at the drabble form and I'm not really sure what makes them tick. I might be trying too hard to condense the ideas. But the drabbles I like the most tend to be, hmmm, complex? So I think this reflects that. Anyway, 100 words is both a surprisingly large number and a surprisingly small number. Also, I'm not sure if I'll ever expand this. I'd really like to, but right now I don't know where I'd go with it or what I'd do with it.

Related to the above: Would it be confusing to use the word 'writ' to talk about orally told stories (originally the line was: 'tales write large told over the fire'). I decided so and changed it, but I like the original better. Also, writing about fire in SPN is annoying because canonically it's linked to that whole Yellow-Eyed Demon thing and thus is bad. And I was trying to use 'fire' here as a shorthand for friendly and home and safety. I'm guessing this is just one of those things that Dean Winchester and I will have to disagree on.

Third, and related to my mood being a bit better (because it's hard to be completely *grrr* when your brain is going o.0 ) : Are you one of those people who hears 'Bleck! i think this milk is off! Here, taste it!' and then does taste it? (I'm one of those people. I also like to make faces when it turns out that the milk that I was told is off is actually off.) In the spirit of that, this fic will sprain your brain. [ Here, have the link!] (It's SPN, Sam-is-transformed-into-a-pony/Castiel-is-transformed-into-a-snail, rated G (except for the brain-hurt), and 450 words).

Fourthly, the Reboot rec list is still MIA, I'll try looking for it when I'm not as grouchy.

Fiftly, I'm off to wrisomifu so I'll stop spamming you now.

list, recs, i am (learning to be) a writer, posting for posting's sake, meta
