My lameness continues.

Honestly, I kind of just want to drop 30 Rock now. I know that I've said on a number of occasions that I love the show for more than just a ship, but when it comes down to it, the possibility of Jack/Liz is always what's kept me watching. In fact, it's what got me attached to the show in the first place. Without it, I have nothing to get invested in. And if I have nothing to get invested in, I just don't care about the show. Therefore, 30 Rock is no longer must-see TV, and if it ever moves back to 9:30 next season, I'll probably end up dropping it completely. Speaking of which, HOW DARE NBC DELAY PARKS AND REC?! Parks and Rec is my favorite part of the Thursday night lineup, and the ratings are not strong enough for the show to survive a scheduling issue like that, and GODDAMMIT NBC, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? UGH. I hope they know what they're doing (but it's NBC, so you know they're clueless).

Anyway, I was feeling so completely lousy all weekend (lady pains in addition to what I suspect is a GI virus), so naturally I spent all my time watching John Lloyd and Bea. THEY ARE SO CUTE. SO CUTE! Which I have said before. In my last post. SO CUTE! I watched a couple more of their films, and then I found a YouTube channel that contained all of their scenes from Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin, and... I watched their entire story in the span of two days. BECAUSE THEY ARE SO MAGNIFICENTLY ADORABLE! They delighted me so much in this soap opera and for awhile it was my absolute favorite thing of theirs, but then it got all angsty, as soap operas are wont to do, and it pained me so much that my delight deflated quite a bit, but then they got super cute again, but then they started angsting again, and then they had their big epic rom-com happy ending, so, that was good. But anyway, their cuteness must be chronicled:

(background info - the extroverted goofball Oliver has a crush on the introverted Jasmine, but Jasmine just finds him obnoxious and thinks his interest in her is a joke. Oliver does pretty much anything to get her attention (and getting her angry seems to be the only way that she'll talk to him). Jasmine has a secret admirer that leaves her jokes in her locker on yellow post-it notes. Take a wild guess at who her not so secret admirer is)

Ah, bugger, I hate it when people disable the embed option. So, links:

Oliver makes her angry. A lot. Good god is he gorgeous at 3:30

They get locked into the library together and much hilarity ensues. And then we get a super sweet moment where Oliver watches her sleep. CUUUUTE!

Oliver makes her brownies. "A labor of love," as he calls it. And just as she's finally warming up to him, he... farts.

Okay, time jump to a few years later. I guess? I am not entirely sure, but they are both very different people now, and Oliver has turned into a slightly heartless dude ever since Jasmine dumped him (his mother's doing, which he doesn't know about) and he opened the bookstore that Jasmine had always dreamed of, and Jasmine now works for him, and he goes out of his way to be mean to her because he doesn't want her to know that he still loooooves her. Anyway, they've started getting along a little better, and Jasmine even presented a business plan to some Singapore dudes to get them to invest in the store, and the lead Singapore dude has taken an interest in Jasmine (as in, he had eyes for no one else), and naturally Oliver is jealous to a ridiculous degree and it is highly amusing:

Singapore Business Dude has asked Jasmine to lunch. Oliver ain't happy about that

Oliver giggles at Business Dude's clumsiness

Cute cute CUUUUUUUTE!

And, of course, we can't forget the spinny camera kiss with the love ballad

SO. CUTE. I love them. A lot. Oliver/Jasmine would have been THE perfect ship had their angst not been so painful for me to watch. What's weird is that usually I am an angst whore, but with John Lloyd and Bea, I simply cannot bear seeing them in pain, because their weepiness kills me. Oh my god, when they are angsting, they are both bawling through their scenes, which makes me bawl, and it's just not pretty. For instance, when I was watching One More Chance, I was pretty much crying through the entirety of the film. OH, THEM. THEY NEED TO BE CUTE FOREVER AND EVER AND NOT CRY.

Speaking of One More Chance, I have to say that I really enjoyed that one simply for deviating from your typical chick flick formula. Same goes for Miss You Like Crazy, which I actually really, really loved. I just enjoyed how both films explored the unhappier side of the "perfect" love. But, you know, in Miss You Like Crazy they spent most of their time together being utterly adorable and EPICALLY HOT, whereas One More Chance was basically two hours of angst, so, I enjoyed the former more. Even the trailer makes me smile like a loon (though that's mostly because the narrator dude sounds really, really creepy and it amuses me):

♥ ♥ ♥

Oh, man, I never linked to my favorite I ♥ Betty la Fea scenes, did I? Next post. Even though I'm pretty sure no one will watch them, but whatever, THEY ARE SO CUTE. I WILL POST RANDOM CLIPS OF THEM UNTIL I GET TIRED OF DOING SO.

Oh, oh, in other news, HIMYM and TBBT were absolutely hilarious tonight (especially TBBT. Sheldon/Leonard odd couplery never fails to amuse me)

ETA: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!

THEY EVEN SING ADORABLY TOGETHER! AAAAH, I LOVE THEM. You know, I am not a screamer by nature, at concerts the most I do is clap and sing along, but if I was in that crowd right there, I would probably be screaming and flailing right along with all of those crazy fans. THEY ARE SO CUTE!
