Sue is totally my hero.

Oooooh, you guys. Glee was spectacular tonight! Well, aside from a few blerg-worthy moments, but mostly this episode was made of win. I had actually listened to the music beforehand, so I spoiled myself with the epicness of the mash-ups, but oh well. Anyway:

1. SUE! Sue and her diary that is worthy of Michael Scott! Oh man, I will not lie, I totally want a crossover fic wherein Michael and Sue just completely click with each other and spend their nights writing in their journal/diary together. WOULD THEY NOT MAKE THE MOST APPROPRIATELY INAPPROPRIATE COUPLE EVER? Anyway, as always, Sue got all the greatest lines tonight. I'm pretty sure that the majority of brilliance that this show has comes out of her mouth. Also, I love the fact that Sue will be co-teaching Glee. PLEASE LET THIS BE A PERMANENT THING. I also love how Sue so perfectly summarizes my feelings about Will/Emma. Bwahahaha, oh, I love her. And I am looking forward to Sue and Emma becoming better acquainted, because their exchanges always amuse me.

2. TERRI! I'm sorry dudes, but I love her so ridiculously much. She's just so loony that I can't help it. And I still sympathize way more with Terri than I do Emma. WILL IS MARRIED TO TERRI. YOU DO NOT GO AFTER MARRIED MEN. YOU JUST DON'T. I don't care how bad she believes Will's marriage to be, WAIT UNTIL HE'S DIVORCED. And Will, ugh, his continued leading on of Emma just makes me hate him a little. I just cannot stand Emma/Will for the very fact that Will is married. I wish he wasn't. If Terri had just been his girlfriend, perhaps I wouldn't be so against Will/Emma. But Terri is his WIFE of more than ten years, a wife that he once loved with all his heart and who still loves him immensely. Is their marriage healthy at this point? No. Terri wasn't paying attention to Will when she should have been, Will wasn't man enough to tell her whenever she was taking advantage of him, and now they are starting to lose each other forever and Terri is trying to hold onto him for dear life, which is just pushing him even further away. And Emma with her carefully planned popping out of hallways when Will walks by and being wherever he is during his breaks and going to him after school, IT IS NOT HELPING WILL'S MARRIAGE. AT ALL. It did, however, open up Terri's eyes to the fact that she's losing Will. And honestly, I don't blame Terri at all for the things she said to Emma in this episode. Terri is trying to hold onto her husband in any way she can. She is trying to save her marriage. Emma messed with fire, and she finally got burned.

3. All that being said, oh Emma. Why? WHY? Why place all your dreams on one man who is kind and good but also kind of ditzy and self-centered? Why does not being with him mean that you have to settle for a man that you don't like even a little bit? Oh, Emma. You know you will just feel trapped with Ken, and yet you said yes. You are just going to end up resenting him and mistreating him and eventually you'll break his heart. He loves you so much, and you'll just always be comparing him to Will and hating Ken just a little bit more each day. UGH, EMMA, COME ON! It is better to stay alone and pining than with someone and still pining for someone else. This just... it's madness. It will only lead to destruction. And I just cannot believe that Emma listened to Terri of all people. Just... UGH. I am glad that she looked at herself and realized that her pursuit of Will was hurting someone else, but this does not mean that she had to go and commit herself to Ken. *sigh* Also, the cheesy end scene with Will and Emma where they look back at each other? BAAAAAAAAAARF. OMG, SHOW! STOP IT. I WILL HAVE TO STOP WATCHING YOU IF YOU CONTINUE TO BE THAT NAUSEATING.

4. I'm pretty sure that Artie is my favorite singer out of the Glee bunch. I'm kind of in love with him a little bit. I loved both of the mashups, but I think the guys won performance-wise. I've actually been listening to the Helo/Walking on Sunshine arrangement non-stop, so it is weird that when watching the show I liked the other one better. But I think it was purely for Finn's spastic dance moves. He is such an oaf! Oh, I love him. Also, the end of the Helo/Sunshine song, where Rachel holds out that last "Helo", I always cringe. That's the only bit I don't like. She sounds so utterly off there (it's worse on the studio released version than the one they played on the show, which cut her off a little bit at the end).

5. RACHEL/FINN! I finally, FINALLY enjoyed them. This is the first time since the pilot that I can actually say that. I am still mightily in love with Quinn/Finn, and I loved that little moment where Quinn revealed that she knows Finn better than people give her credit for, but I think it is pretty clear that they are DOOMED for all eternity. And I really, really hope that Quinn doesn't give her baby to Terri, because, YIKES.

6. Ken hopped up on decongestants and shredding paper like a madman was probably my favorite part of the episode.

7. Actually, my favorite part may have been the bit where Howard Bamboo got tackled by the feds in the drugstore.

8. WILL/RACHEL. I STILL LOVE THEM. They had a few looks here and there. I particularly loved the bit where Rachel looks him up and down and calls him biased.

One thing I forgot to mention about last week's Merlin episode that I found interesting:

When Merlin is hiding the flowers behind his back and Arthur is questioning him, Merlin says, "Arthur, I would never lie to you. I respect you far too much for that," and Arthur gives him a skeptical look. DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

Episode 1x08:

MORGANA: My lord, you know I respect you too much to ever betray you like that.
UTHER: gives her a cold look and utters a death threat

I don't know, it just made me think back to that scene. I'm pretty sure that I parallel Uther/Morgana with Arthur/Merlin far more than I'm supposed to.

Speaking of Uther/Morgana, Patterns by zauberer_sirin is so, so magnificently brilliant. It is slightly domestic yet completely naughty and full of the angst. I LOVE IT.

ETA: OMG, I LOVE MODERN FAMILY! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!

Mitchell in Costco for the first time? That was exactly the way my mother was when she discovered Sam's Club. My grandad had always shopped there and for years my mom turned her nose up at it, and then she went with him once when my grandma was sick and she just bought EVERYTHING and never looked back. Oh god, that was hilarious. Also, JAY AND PHIL, OMG! Phil, poor, sweet, tries way too hard Phil. Oh, I love him. LUKE AND HIS PANTS! And ooooh, the end made me tear up again. Blast Jay and his ability to make me cry when he turns out to be a big old softie. Also, I am so ridiculously happy that we got to hear how Mitchell and Cam met each other, because that was something that I've been curious about since the first ep. OH, THIS SHOW! Few things make me laugh as hard as this show does.

ship: uther/morgana, show: merlin, fictional love machine: michael scott, show: modern family, ship: will/rachel, show: glee
