So, I never got that paper done that I was supposed to do last night, because I got distracted by Jack and Liz. Again. HOW CAN A PROMO REAWAKEN MY OBSESSION SO FIERCELY? Insanity. But last night I watched Black Tie before I went to bed, and I forgot how in love with that episode I used to be. His face when he sees her in the dress! Him trying to be the Richard Gere to her Julia Roberts and Liz having no clue! To be fair, I had no clue either until just recently. I have a feeling that Liz abhors chick flicks just as much as I do. Anyway, that was adorable, and I love his embarrassment when she's like, "Ow!!! Who does that?!" And then his over-protesting when she asks if it was a date. Him instantly calling her his live-in girlfriend when Bianca showed up and them fitting into the role so naturally. Bianca saying that Liz could make Jack happy. That he loves her, she can tell by the way he looks at her. Him calling Liz Jackie Chan when she tried to get him to dance with her (must they insist on being so adorable?), Jack giving her that impressed smile when he finds out that she can speak German, Liz getting beat up by Bianca and Jack looking fascinated when Liz's dress gets pulled down (he is a boob man, you know), them looking like they're in their own world as Jack is tenderly dabbing at her wounds and Liz just very naturally lets him take care of her, the way he just brushes past her into her apartment and non-chalantly looks around checking her place out, him picking up her underwear and stretching it trying to figure out what they were, him breathing in her sent and slowly leaning in, his over-protesting when she said she thought he was going to kiss her... GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THEM! I also forgot how much season 1 was them constantly being surprised by each other and figuring out that they're more similar than they had ever imagined, and season 2 is them just loving each other for all that they are (platonically of course, though you all know I suspect Jack of having more-than-platonic feelings of admiration for Liz. I love how her flaws seem to make him love her all the more. I still can't get over the voice mail/eating pizza scene in the s2 finale). GAAAAAAAAAH! WHY HAS SEASON 3 NOT STARTED YET? DAMN YOU NBC!
