death comes early
I just learned that a good friend who worked tirelessly on the original "proposition to fund Livermore schools in the face of huge budget cuts" (I think we called it measure L and it was a property tax that has since been extended in another election) as I was leaving service on the school board has died of an accident. Not even 50 years old (almost).
Meanwhile, my cousin whom I haven't seen in 30 years is dying (most likely as they are thinking of taking him off life support). He is just one year older than me.
Very hard to parse. They say to enjoy every day as if it is your last. Mostly, just try to find the good stuff and don't turn your nose up at it.
