I won another Risk game tonight. Apparently I'm good at strategizing in LOTR Risk (real rules). And I've spent the last 36 hours or so (with breaks in there) playing FFVIII (it's not stunningly well-done, but it fills the hours...)
Maybe I'm getting a hero complex or something. I dunno. I like video games because I can single-handedly save the world (ignoring the real one in the process).

Jesse, meanwhile, left for Alabama for the Division Two football finals about... hmm... twenty minutes ago. I know how excited he's been about it, but part of me kept believing that he would change his mind, that he'd say, "screw it, I'm going to the IV exec retreat instead." I understand his reasons for choosing as he did, but I still believed...
