Every week in our department meeting at work I give a 10-minute talk on Web 2.0 to my coworkers. Last week, the subject of choice was blogs (which tangentally led to at least one coworker creating a facebook account to e-stalk her children). During this discussion, while we were exploring MySpace, we saw a link for some music video with the word "pr0n" in the title.
Most of my coworkers didn't know what pr0n was.
This week, I'm giving people a crash course on l33t and various acronyms. Right now, my list consists of lol, brb, rofl, nsfw, omg, wtf, and stfu. Any other suggestions?
In other news, I'm supposed to be doing two independent studies this summer. Both are supposed to start today. Neither form is filled out for them. Neither professor has gotten back to me within this last week. Worried? Not quite... but it would be nice to have everything set.
