Hiroki is only kind because he is naive, and lets emotions cloud his judgment. But those traits are necessary for a King, and a leader, so it's fine. Besides, he's always been that way. He'd trip over his own feet if I wasn't around to pick him up.
Technically... he is the King of all demons. Though he was human once. The cloak he wears isn't just for show--there is a reason for it. Though he no doubt wishes to hide this from others--he's... rather uncomfortable with the topic. I believe he just wishes to be himself--one can't really fault him for it. He saw a lot of things during his trials earlier he'd prefer to forget.
... If you want details, I suggest you ask me instead of pestering him, however. As I said... he's somewhat sensitive to the changes. Humans were not meant to have that kind of power.
[ So basically... he DOES actually give a shit. This is him tsunderely saying "please be nice to Hiroki". A-anyway TOPIC CHANGE. ]I believe he told you something about my work? He should have mentioned I was a programmer... at any rate, he's my cousin, girl. I got bored earlier. I'm a programmer... one of my jobs is hacking things. He thinks he filtered that entry from me, but he did a fairly poor job; I broke into it with ease. He's nowhere near close to my level of skill when

King......of all demons? How does that work? We don't have a king or anything......but I guess youkai are different, like you said.
[She pauses, looking at her shackle. Wanting to hide your powers...just wanting to be yourself...seeing things you'd rather forget...well, she knows all about that. Although she liked him already, she feels a much greater interest in and empathy towards Hiroki. She says the next part quietly.]
I......I understand. About all that.
[The she kind of raises an eyebrow.]
Should you really be hacking into his calls? Have you ever heard of privacy?
I believe you would. That shackle is a seal on your own powers, isn't it? Unfortunately, Hiroki cannot afford that sort of charm. As I've stated previously, the demons from our world come from the Netherworld.
[ Incoming verbal teal. Though most who know Naoya would be used to this by now. ]There was a war going on between the pieces of the first, and strongest demon of them all: Bel. Hiroki managed to kill one of them simply because he had no choice--if he did not, he and all his friends would have died, as was predicted. At any rate, he was the only one who was capable of entering that war. Whenever another Bel kills one of the others, they absorb the defeated into their body. In the end, whichever demon won would have complete control over every other demon--summoning, giving orders, strength. The King of Bel can summon any demon he wishes simply by thinking it

... Hiroki's powers are so strong that sealing them wouldn't do much good to begin with. Even then, we need his strength to fight God. I don't mean 'afford' as in currency. That's the least of the problems he'd encounter--demons use Macca, anyway. It's the currency of the Netherworld.
[ If only you could see the look he was giving you, Touka. ] Just as I've told you. Surely you've encountered half breeds before, correct? 'Hanyou,' as you call them. It isn't easy for humans to be acclimated to a demonic physiology; the make up of his very DNA has changed, as has his senses. He's learning to control them.
[ A sigh. Such an airhead. ] ... In layman's terms, child, he is the leader of a demonic army that will fight against God's angels. The war will be long and costly, but at the very most, he is the one weapon which God Himself fears and, of course, since Hiroki made the correct choice helping me, God is not very pleased. He'd have destroyed all of Tokyo either way, however.
Well, it was partly destroyed. I'm sure he'd rather avoid telling you about the Lockdown the Special Defense Forces issued when demons began running amok. God's hand was forced; He called His angels to order the humans to do so. For us, it was counted then on as "humanity's second judgment"--He would judge us and determine if his creations were worthy of Him allowing them to live and if He could "forgive" our "transgressions

What do you want with our town?

Simple curiosity, girl. Ah, and it seems you've spoken with my cousin, Hiroki--I wish to know the details of that particular call.

You're Hiroki-san's cousin? No way!

You sound surprised. Indeed, I am. ... Just how much DID he tell you? Or, perhaps I should be asking, "how little"...?

Don't tell me you can't sense other demons, child. How amusing. [ And with that vaguely unhelpful sentence, you get nothing more. ]

[And no, she can't.]
Wait, how do you even know we talked, anyway?

[Yeah, she's a little airheaded.]
Oh.......
[That sounds...like Hiroki-san's really important and stuff. Like, REALLY important. She actually feels a little intimidated. But.....]
What do mean, his body's fighting itself?
[And whaaat.]
Wait, save the human race? Tyrant controlling them? I think you were going on about this before, but......uh, do you mind explaining a little better?
[You know, like you're talking to a slightly airheaded teenage girl.]

Huh? All of your Tokyo was destroyed?
