Don't you just hate it when you play a game and it's really pretty easy most of the way through and then suddenly you hit this super hardpart? That's exactly the problem I'm having at the moment. The game in question is Bloodrayne and the first act is pretty much a synch all the way through. That is, until you get to the fucking boss! It just won't stay still! You're supposed to cut off the legs and then attack the body, but the damned thing spins around without needing any time... I run around it and it seems to just swivel about a central point, always facing towards me. It's just not fair!
It is a pretty cool game though, especially if you like vampires. Basically you play a female half vampire who's life mission (much like Blade's) is to go around killing other vampires and saving humans. Basically it's a combination of Blade and Return to Castle Wolfenstein in that you end up getting recruited to stop the Nazi's from using vampire/mutant things to enslave and kill the population. What made me laugh though is that I think this is the first game I've ever played where a main character actually uses the word "fuck". Quite amusing.
So now I'm stuck trying to kill this massive bug beast from hell. I think I've probably died at least 15 times in the past hour or so. I'm just a big ball of tension at this point. It's SOOOO frustrating! Especially as I actually got the bloody thing down to a hair's breadth away from death, only to die myself.
Did I mention this beast is not alone? As is the way with these things, it keeps spitting out baby bug beast things to attack you as well. If it weren't for those things I think I probably would have killed it by now. Together they seem to pin me in one spot just long enough to the mother beast to hit me good and proper. FUCKING ANNOYING!
*sigh* /vent
