There are certain things that, upon occurring, can instantly make a day good. These sort of things are hard to come by if you live as a pessimist. It might take a relative you hate dying and leaving you their trillion-dollar inheritance to you to cheer you up on some days. However, as a general optimist toward life, I find certain things in culmination can make my day quite fine.
Sort of things like coming home to a freshly made bed I can mess up. I will jump upon it and throw the stuffed animals aside, to reach under the fake-paint colored pillows. I'll grab onto the top of my comforter and pull it out just enough to see the sheet underneath. Turning, I will lift myself to my toes and put my head down underneath, flipping myself upside-down to crawl underneath. I will then proceed to yank the rest of the comforter from under the mattress, so neatly tucked away. Then I will lay for a moment, before exiting to admire my own work.
Sitting on the toilet and reading a short chapter in my humorous novel, that takes the same amount of time to read as it does for me to finish. I'm currently leaving "Uh-oh" by Robert Fulghum on the back of my toilet. It's really a compilation of observing essays, and quite interesting to me. With short enough chapters to take just enough time. If you ever find yourself at my house with a little time on your hands, you may want to skim through it. I'll gladly lend it to you when I'm done with it.
I finished reading "Possible Side Effects" by Augusten Burroughs, and have moved on to read "Running With Scissors". Now I know what all the hype was about, it's a very good book so far. It's horrifying, but at the same time it's so ridiculous that you can't help but laugh. I found myself chuckling quietly during class, as I read between notes and lectures.
Maybe I can make tomorrow even better. Jason is coming over to see how Grimgrimoire is. It's alright, I guess, though a little slow paced. The best way I can describe it is Phantom Brave and Starcraft's horrifying love-child, while Starcraft had a cocaine problem and Phantom Brave drank too much vodka. I might be able to get Robyn to come over as well, if she would like. Maybe we could unicycle for a bit. I'm always a little more motivated when friends are involved.
I think all this eating out is taking a toll on my body. I'm starting to become fat and lazy, like a pampered housecat.
