For some reason, I hate grocery shopping. I usually wait until I absolutely have to go. This makes little sense since once I'm there, I take forever looking at stuff. I forced myself to go yesterday because I also had to get cocoa and some other goodies for the café. We can't have people trying to study for exams without hot beverages to keep them going. I'm all stocked up until I leave for Christmas break, plus a bit after until I talk myself into it again. I also finished up most of my Christmas shopping - only my dad and one nephew left - and made another futile attempt to find boots I like that actually fit. Why does every salesperson instantly get a sort of condescending pity when you ask for a narrow size? That tone of polite veneer over "You stupid girl, you think anyone cares that your feet aren't exactly like everyone else's?" *grumble*
Today I have lain about doing very little, listening to DW audios and generally enjoying my lopsided weekend. (I was off Friday since I'm working tomorrow.) Now I am almost done wrapping presents and can take a nice, relaxing bath in a bit. Then I can finish listening to "Creed of the Kromon" and check out
padawanpooh's new fic. (Yay, new Pooh fic!)
Yes, life is good. *munches popcorn ball*
