Passwords nightmares; Serenity fan movie

Oct 25, 2006 18:57

*facepalm* I am caught in a password nightmare. I use 3 or 4 passwords for my various emails, online accounts, etc and just vary them with numbers and combinations depending on what the thing is I'm logging in to. None of these work when I try to pay my cable bill online - none of the myriad possible variations, number combinations, nothing. And the "Forgot password" question is Where did you go to high school? I vaguely remember thinking of a smart aleck answer for this, but can't be sure I used it or what it was. All variations of the school's name, initials, favorite teacher's name, fandoms of the time (Holmes and Tolkien mostly), even hell/hellmouth/Sunnydale don't work. I am doomed to writing a check and paying for a stamp every month until I move somewhere with a different cable company.

ETA: Oh thank God it finally worked! The same stupid thing I put in 10 times last night and this morning actually took! *dances happy jig*

Now, I have a very serious request for all you Browncoats. There is a documentary about how the fans got Serenity made, called Done the Impossible. Of course, Netflix doesn't have it available, and I can't spend money right now. The kinda good news is they actually put out a torrent of it and don't mind if you download. (So no panicked replies saying "Oh no, Firi, lock your post before you get killt by copyright attorneys!") I know the really super-good interviews that will be stuff I need for my project will probably be on the DVD extras that they didn't release, but does someone have a non-torrent (avi, wmv, etc.) version of this? You will have my eternal gratitude (and probably miladygrey's and alabama_e's too once they see it).

ETAA: The illustrious alto2 explains really basic torrent stuff below, in appropriately small words. I feel dumb and enlightened at the same time.
