A Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Mar 21, 2004 14:06

I'm working in Calkins until 6pm tonight. It's not that bad, then again Calkins is usually dead on a Sunday. These past few weeks have been a whirlwind. Ultimate Gamer is almost over. We had our taping on Wednesday and it went relatively well. I stayed calm and everyone had a good time.

I've also had to do a number of things for the DGA this week. Back in January I flew to Chicago to take the test for the LA program, and in February I took the NY program's test. I passed both tests and have moved on to the next round. I'm very excited because I feel like I'm getting somewhere. I'm so close to getting in, but there is still that chance that I might not make it. I have an interview with the NY program on April 15th, and have sent in a bunch of documents for the LA DGA. I find out in May if I've made it to the final interview. I really hope I make it to at least the next round. I would hate to get this far only to not make it. I really want to be an Assistant Director. This program is hard to get into and would be a lot of hard work but I know I would learn a lot because this is what I want to do. I spoke to Dr. Mazzocco about it this week. He was really excited for me but thought it was weird that I wanted to be an Assistant Director. I don't care if people think that it is weird, it is what I want to do. I'm good at interacting with people, I think fast and can process a lot of information and I am organized. There is still a lot that I need to learn though.

I was wondering when Hofstra would majorly screw me over and this past week was definitely it. I paid my bill and that's when all the problems started. I apparently was never registered for my Mass 11 class. I had to retake my English Proficiency test and I had to get a substitution form for the lack of my AVF 168 class. I got everything done but it took a number of stressfilled days.

I should really be working on my SPCM Take Home midterm but I've been distracted by so much stuff today. Truthfully I'm not being that focused but still I should get it done. I don't really know what else to say, so I guess that it it bye for now.

Congrats to Delta Kappa for successfully completing pledging.
