Friday
Got photos hung, did a little cleaning, and enjoyed a bedroom picnic in the living room with my husband once our daughter and his mother were in bed. We watched You Don't Mess With the Zohan and were happy that it was cute, but like any other Sandler movie, it's not something I feel the need to watch again. We capped the night off in the best possible way, and I crashed.
Saturday
Ed got up with Mia and I slept in until a completely ridiculous hour. On the bright side, it took care of my feeling exhausted all the time. On the downside, it made me feel like a lazy, guilty wife and mother. Once I was up, Ed and I took Mia to lunch at DuClaw and then came home for her nap, a little cleaning, and some relaxing. I went out in the evening and hit Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target for some things that we needed, and then spent the night digging through my photos and pulling out stuff to upload to Facebook and Flickr. I tried to watch Calendar Girls which I just couldn't get into, and Because I Said So which was really cute. I stayed up until 4am... way, way too late.
Sunday
It was my turn to get up with Mia. We had a lazy morning on the couch with Noggin. I woke Ed up eventually so that I could take a shower, and by the time I came downstairs,
serendipitymyst was here. Mom arrived a short while later, and we spent the afternoon getting our Ireland/Scotland itinerary worked out, looking at options for getting back and forth between the two countries, and where to stay. We're doing 1 night in Dublin, 2 nights in Belfast, 3 nights in Edinburgh, and then 2 more nights in Dublin. Whee!
Once Mom and Lauren left, Ed, his Mom, Mia and I loaded up and went to dinner at Ruby Tuesday and had the worst experience we've ever had there. My food was horrible. By the time we got home from dinner, Mia was exhausted. We let her watch a little TV and then it was bedtime for her. We've been watching TV since, catching up on DVRed and live stuff. I'm done uploading pics to Facebook and once True Blood is over, I'm going up to read some more Yummy Mummy and head to bed.
I am SO glad it's a short week this week.
I <3 my bed. The sheets were a shower gift, the down comforter/duvet set/lamps are from IKEA.
drjeff's gorgeous beach photo is finally hung in my living room, alongside a family portrait from last year.
drjeff's flowering tree photo is in the living room, too. Ignore the mess. I still have wedding stuff to put away :/
The living room photo arrangement that I am so happy with. I've had the hardest time trying to figure out what to do with the space over the couch. It just took some rearranging.
Wedding present from
serendipitymyst, hung so that you can see it as soon as you walk in the front door.
Mia at lunch yesterday.
Last week
The ponytail lasted all of about five minutes
I opened the cabinet to rearrange and Raven hopped in.
The night after the wedding - karaoke and diner food!
