One of Daisy's wound looked like it might be infected, so we took her to the vet.  It was infected so they gave her a higher grade of antibiotic.  Unfortunately, they think it may have been irritated because she has been licking it and now she has to wear the dreaded e-collar, otherwise known as a lampshade!  I shouldn't laugh, I really shouldn't, ( Read more... )

I was very surprised that the vet was able to lead Daisy out to us after her surgery.  She had had a valium injection among other things so she was, to say the least, very high.  Her back end was shaved and it looks as though her butt has been replaced with a piece of raw meat.   The vet who admitted us at the Humane  Society, Dr. Nahm, was awesome ( Read more... )

We took Daisy to the vet today because she was was starting to smell infected this morning.  The vet didn't seem very concerned, but he did give her an antibiotic/pain reliever shot and put her on an antibiotic pill regimen for at home.  I am also bathing her wounds in peroxide.   She lost a lot of blood yesterday, but it was not life threatening ( Read more... )
