Wow! I've missed my sweet little journal sooo much! It feels like an eternity since I last updated. And it's not that I made a conscious decision to abandon my beloved LJ, but up until about a week ago I was helplessly stuck in The Doldrums, and it sucked really, really bad. Then, just when I had abandoned all hope of ever finding a reason to smile again, a package arrived in the mail--and it was the most amazing thing ever! It was from the most wonderful person, and it contained the most wonderful things! :D Although, tragically enough, we're destined to be apart, his sweet words and gifts were enough to lift my spirits, and I was on my own cloud for a while. :) When I finally got to hear his voice though, I really felt that my loneliness had subsided and felt happy for the first time in too long. I've really been keeping to myself lately, and it felt so nice to be cared for. (....I love you!)
Well, speaking of overwhelmingly awesome things.... I GOT NEW CDs!!!! There are few things in life that compare to the joy of popping in a brand-new CD and rockin' your ass off. They're really fuckin' great. One is from the aforementioned package, and the other is The Day that Didn't Exist by the Fastbacks-- which everyone should really check out. I've finally joined the Amazon world (hmm... that sounds a lot cooler than it actually is) and ordered a buncha stuff. The cool thing is that I ordered from a buncha people all over the country so it's all coming at different times. Which is cool cus I won't go crazy and listen to everything at once and I get to get all excited and surprised when something arrrives. I got my Merkinball CD today, and intend on giving it a listen ASAP.
On that note, the US Postal Service has been really great to me lately in that it keeps bringing me killer stuff from Amazon and my cool, cool friends. You guys are awesome! And I'm gonna write back, I promise! These things just take me a while.
So, generally, that's what's been up. As for what's going down... well, that's another [decently long] story for another day. For now I'm off to do something new and not-so-exciting, something unprecedented and unfamiliar, something.... lame. Yup, time to study. Wish me luck little ones. Later! ;)
