left a letter
I left a letter for katie today in her mailbox at work. Here are some excerpts:
"I would have preferred to say this in person but it has become obvious that I probably won’t get the chance. I typed it up so it would be easier to read rather than having you decipher my handwriting. I am not upset so much at the fact that we didn’t hang out on Tuesday, I’m upset that you didn’t have the decency to at least call me back and let me know what happened, or at least take the minute or two to call me and tell me that you wouldn’t be coming over.....
It’s last summer all over again, and I thought you said it wouldn’t happen.....
What do I mean to you? Am I just someone you can toy with? Do you even consider me your friend? You don’t even treat me like a friend, friends will at least call you back when you call them. If you make plans with a friend, they’ll call you and tell you if something comes up or if they completely forget, they’ll call to apologize. If you are at work reading this letter, then there is no excuse for not at least taking the minute or two to call me back and let me know what happened.......
I’m through chasing you trying to hang out. If I mean anything to you, if you want to hang out, if you want to see me, you can call me. You can tell me when, what time, and where, and I’ll be there. I’m not going to call you, I’m not going to chase you down. I’m through doing that, I’ve had enough. It hurts. It hurts having to even write this whole letter up.......
You want to see me, you can make the plans and let me know, I’ll make time and put things aside for you. Because unless you’re the one setting the plans up, I can’t know whether it’ll actually happen or not because you never remember to call back if something comes up.......
I would like for you to please respond to this letter. Call, see me in person (preferably), or leave me a letter in my box like I left this for you. If I don’t get a response, I’ll just understand that you don’t give a crap and I’ll leave you alone."
Well we'll see if i get a response or not. I'm through trying. That was my last attempt. Oh well.
