Merry X-Mas!
Just wanted to make a post in the last 20 min of XMas. This year I was quite lucky to be able to take the day off (non-paid of course) on xmas eve otherwise I would have had to drive back to milwaukee on sunday to go to work and then back in the evening to join my family for xmas activities. It wouldn't be so terrible if my family did the "americanized" xmas where people open presents in the morning on xmas day, but we follow the mexican/catholic tradition of being up until midnight on xmas eve and opening gifts and whatnot. So for me having to work on the 24th is like missing xmas all together because usually on the 25th we just veg out on the couch or go visit family. So I will update my xmas shenanigans:
Saturday was averi's bachelorette party. And that went good. Food was great at dinner. The bars were fun too. And I won a 25 dollar bar tab by winning a hula hoop contest. It was good times. Everyone had fun, especially Averi.
Sunday I spent last minute shopping and doing all this random crap. In the evening we spent it making tamales, and sparx and jerry came over and we just spent it goofing off, playing video games. Angie and alex spent the night and we watched movies while wrapping gifts.
Monday I did last minute crap and cleaned my fish tank...finally! My fish now have a chance of surviving! lol. Then I headed over to Ernesto's brothers house and we had tamales and sopes and chilled for a while. Afterwards we came back to my house and ate some more and had fun messing around with the family. My family is just craziness seriously. Even on holidays we cannot be solemn and commemorate the birth of Jesus because I bust out in a rendition of sweet child of mine as I rock the baby Jesus and put him on the manger. And of COURSE we had to play a prank on someone, this time it was Ari. Well alex got one but not as bad. His was a GOOD prank. As I was wrapping Ari's gift with Sparx's help I mentioned to him how she had said that she didn't like when people taped up boxes cuz it takes to long to open so we came up with the idea to tape the hell out of the box. So we completely sealed the top and bottom and taped it up all along the seams of the wrapping paper. And I had wrapped it up in a cereal box and Sparx was like "she's gonna get sad there's not really any cereal in there" and I followed that with a comment about "we should wrap up some tamales and give them to her" lol! so instead of that we ended up filling a shoe box with all kinds of food macaroni, rice a roni, soup cans, tuna can, a bottle of italian dressing, and pretty much any random thing in the pantry. Then we threw some sal de uvas (alka seltzer) and a diet coke and some chocolates for desert. She was able to open the taped up box be she was all confused. She was actually able to rip it open faster than I thought. Then came the fat ass package and she sits there all confused as angie hits play on the ipod and the song was "golosa" so she starts opening it all scared and literally just bursts out laughing. we were all crying from laughter. Sparx is due to put the video of this on youtube shortly. But yeah that was the best part of the night. We just spent the rest of it opening presents and watching tv and goofing off. It was good times. I got some good gifts:

It may be lame to some people but seriously its something I could have gotten for myself but it was really thoughtful of her and now i can make my tortillas and pancakes and all the other stuff I love so much. So yeah all in all it was a good time.
Today I spent the day chilling at home. I went over to my grandmas house to give her her gift and then tell her merry xmas. Also went over to my tia licha's to drop of hers and ginos gift. Then came back home and sparx was over and we played guitar hero and ate food. Then it was off to cheese town. So now i'm here in my bed and writing this post when I should be going to sleep to be up in time for work. So on that note, I hope you all had a nice xmas and peace be with u.
