prefers_chess and I have discovered a way out of the City.
If you have heard of the Hall of the Missing, then you know that a person's portrait is hung there upon their exit from the City. Rudy and I hypothesized that the reverse may be true: if you hang a portrait of someone in the Hall, then that person will immediately return home.
And it has worked! Not ten minutes ago, Rudy and I visited the hall and hung a painted portrait of him. And he immediately disappeared, right before my eyes. I have asked around to confirm there is no sort of disappearing curse going on about today, and there is not. It follows, then, that Rudy's disappearance is due to the hanging of his portrait, and therefore his return home.
I felt it best the next course of action to be informing all of this discovery. Good luck, all, in using this knowledge, and may you return swiftly and safely.
