We have had a massive rain system over Australia and lots of wind and, for South Australia - a heck of a lot of rain. It is almost like Queensland rain!
WInd locally is almost 60km/h (some areas to 90km/h) and Rain: 50-100 mm in last few days...yeah the dams are up to 83%!. We got nowhere near this, last year! We have had local flooding and our back ( Read more... )

It got to 41 dec C today. We are still 37 deg C, 6.40pm.
Thank goodness for airconditioning!

Today skyemaroc and I did part 1 of a 'Trinny and Susanna'. I went through my clothes wardrobe and managed to empty the equivalent of one whole drawer, and well over 1/3 of my hanging space ( Read more... )

It is 23 deg C, showers and humid...
I am in heaven!

Fires (Qld), hail (canberra, SA), floods (adelaide), dust storms (sydney) and earthquakes (melbourne), oh my!
So glad we flew home Sunday night, as flights on the east coast have been grounded til the dust is gone. Looked scary. Welcome to the el ninya... we have not had this weather for yonks, as there has been a couple of el ninos in a row... ( ( Read more... )

Today got to 3 deg C while we were out... and it rained! (if only we could channel all this water to Australia...)
We went to the Petit Palais, with lots of works of art from antiquity to modern. Lots of medieval and renaissance stuff i have not seen before...
