It’s been a… complicated 2018.

• Aunt Enid was fun to write. It reminded me of many, many wonderful childhood memories

Not long now. Christmas is almost here, and another year is ending.

I plan to try (yet again) to instigate the Icelandic tradition of Jólabókaflóð. (Jolabokaflod means Yule Book Flood) where you give gifts of books and read books and eat chocolate on Christmas Eve.

What wonderful family and friends I have.  They know me so well. This year’s Christmas present stash included classic SF, Doctor Who, books, tea cups, chocolate, writing notebooks, Lord of the Rings, games and steampunk.

A few years ago the Dinosaurs Alive show came to Adelaide. At the time we couldn’t attend. But now they’re back! This time they’re roaming the Adelaide zoo. And this time, we got to see them. (And parking was free. Bonus!)
