back in ze garden of England...anyone for afternoon tea?
So, after a loooooong holiday, I'm back in Canterbury, meaning to revise for my end of year exams. My Immy KAL is at an indefinite standstill since my mum's medication isn't helping her anxiety and moods in general. Also, my Nan had a very bad fall last Sunday. Since she's on warfarin because of her heart, she suffered a lot of internal bleeding and is still in hospital. So my mum's having to look after my uncle as well as everything, leaving no time for herself. She needs time to heal, and what's so infuriating is that the universe seems to bent on not giving her time.
On the plus side, I got to meet up with the Immy legends Winky and Dragon...they are even more lovely in real life than on the boards! I had a great time taking them round Camden (despite the awful weather!), and hope they enjoyed themselves too =]. Dragon brought me a little present of a tiny kangeroo cuddly toy and a kookaburra christmas tree ornament, and Winky gave me invaluable advice on the KAL and knitting in general! I got a very awesome doctor who postcard from them while they were in Cardiff, which was a great thing to come home to! =]
Canterbury is being ridiculously cold atm...in Reading, it was almost hot enough to take out the strappy summer tops! Today I'm layering it up clotheswise, wishing for a bit of sunshine (i've checked the forecast, we have rain for most of this week. rats.).
