For the past half a dozen years of my life I've rarely eaten anything that's not cooked on the grill for the entirety of the summer. That being said, there's entirely too many recipes and stuff out there, the best thing is just to experiment with making marinades and the like. Olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, mayonnaise, pepper, cajun seasoning, mojo and the like will be your best friends if you take your time to experiment and find-out what tastes best and what sticks to/provides the proper flavor for the meat or vegetables you're making.

Sometimes, the best stuff is just too easy... like, any half-way dense fish (shark, etc) just marinated in regular old wishbone italian dressing for a few minutes and then plopped on the grill... add a good strawberry, pecan praline and spinach salad with a quick vinegarette and life is perfect (total prep and cook time is like 15 minutes). That happened to be my dinner last night, and it was awesome.

Anyways, I think your best first step would be to pick up a Bobby Flay cookbook... he's the man when it comes to cooking anything on the grill.
