I think I might have a serious problem. I am incapable of walking through a store without buying produce. I tell myself 'I will just nip into this store to pick up some chocolate ice cream" and somehow carrots and greens and cherries leap into my cart. It's downright uncanny.
Sometimes I don't even come out with the ice cream.
"But Sylvia," you say, "How on earth could this be a problem? Vegetables are delicious and good for you!"
Alas, fruits and vegetables are also fibrous. Try as I might, I really can't eat more than two pounds a day. Also, I shop at five grocery stores*. This means that produce accumulates slightly faster than I can reasonably consume it. And, umm, well...
This, for the record, was just the non-frozen ones, after the non-edible bits had been chopped off and boiled in stock.
I made about 15 quarts of soup. I will be eating soup forever.
Also, I bought more today**.
Clearly, I need to find a boyfriend, if only so that I can feed him.
*What? It's a good way to take advantage of all the weekly sales, and I can bounce past all five on my way home from work. Also, Walmart totally doesn't count, because they only have frozen vegetables.
**Fruits! Mostly fruits, I swear!
