What do you want for Christmas?

So, its that time of year again--the time when I look around my room and think "Where did all this yarn come from? Surely I did not buy it. It must have snuck in while I wasn't looking."

So, oh readers of my blog, I ask:

What knitted thing can I foist on you this holiday season?

Yes, indeed, if you have always craved a hat, some socks, a pair of ( Read more... )

um um um. i really love the arm-warmer glovey things you made me last year, and found myself actually a little excited when it got colder because it meant i could pretend to have dragon-arms again. (did i tell you i secretly imagine i am a dragon when i wear them?) so would it be greedy if i asked you for something this year too?

No, it would not be greedy, it would be fun. What would you like? I'd offer to make you something that matched your gloves, but I will never be able to dye yarn that exact color again.

Nope, very easy. Are you looking for something plain and subdued, something brightly colored, or something delightfully ridiculous (cat ears, dragon face and tail, etc)?

ooh, all of those sound great in their own way. well, except i'm thinking i'd love to wear it to school and work, so maybe not awesome animals?

what about eggplanty purple? maybe a pretty variegated dye job like you did last time, or solid with a stripe of something matchy like lavender or something...when anything is possible it's hard to decide! the only thing i definitely wouldn't want is that fuzzy/hairy yarn that i see sometimes.

i am crap at things involving yarn and sticks, but can make a mean baked good. what can i send you (or hand to you in atlanta on your winter break) in return?

Anything with lots of spices--gingerbread, spice cake, pumpkin bread, whatever.

Where in Atlanta are you now? Are you down by Emory or commuting from the burbs?
