"JT didn't take the place of firemen"
So...I've been told by some people *cough*addie*cough* that I need to start posting more. And I wholeheartedly agree. It's just that...things are crazy around here and aside from the fact that I seem to be constantly busy, I also don't have computer access at home at the moment. So yeah, this is my lame ass attempt at apologizing for neglecting LJ for the past 2 months or so. I didn't drop off the face of the earth, I swear!
Anyway, there's no way I could summarize the past two months in one post, but...uh...maybe I'll try anyway.
- I moved into a new place, it's still a mess because I'm both a. busy as hell and b. lazy as fuck. Not a good combo, people.
- Work still sucks big donkey balls. I should really just quit, but I kind of like this regular paycheck thing. Go figure.
- In late July I went to California to visit my girls. It was SO much fun! Man, that seems like years ago. YEARS. I should really get the pictures developed because I can hardly remember what we did. And it was only a month ago! I swear, I'm getting senile and I'm only 24. Gah. More importantly though, it was an awesome trip and just confirms the fact that I really should live in Cali someday. It's just so amazing.
- I was just in a wedding this weekend. I was my darling Gwen's maid of honor, and it was beautiful and fun and just a great weekend, although I have to say I'm glad that it's over so I can stop worrying about falling down on the altar or what I look like in my strappy bridesmaid's dress that shows way too much of the upper arm area for anyone's good. It's scary, yo. People just don't need to see that. Speaking of my dress, what am I going to do with a gorgeous, slightly sparkly, plum-colored gown? It's not like I have a bunch of black-tie affairs to go to. Does anyone have any experience in this area? This is the first wedding I've been in, so give me some advice...what do you do with old bridesmaid's dresses?
