The family decided to beat the Holy Week rush to Tagaytay Highlands and went up last Tuesday to Thursday instead. As usual, our first breakfast of our stay was at the Golfers' Clubhouse. The interior was nice and airy enough, but we wanted to take better advantage of the wind so we sat outdoors. The clubhouse was still quite empty since not many people had made the trip up yet.

The exterior shot was taken from outside the patio so it's not really what you would see as you arrive at the driveway. If you squint, you can manage to see my mom seated outside in the sunglasses. :)

Nick ordered the American Breakfast, which came with 2 eggs, hash browns, beans (why???), his choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, a glass of chilled juice, and coffee/hot chocolate.

Martin and I both ordered the Filipino Breakfast, which consists of garlic rice, eggs, choice of corned beef, longganisa(Filipino sausage), tapa(cured beef), tocino, or daing na bangus (we both chose the corned beef), and atchara(pickled vegetables). Martin chose the slightly more expensive version that also came with juice and coffee. It's easy enough to make this meal at home, actually, but it always tastes better when I order it at the Clubhouse. I wonder why!

The parents ordered their own breakfast that I didn't take a picture of anymore. I was too excited to eat my breakfast to care about theirs. :) While they were enjoying their leisurely breakfast (hey, we were on vacation!), my brothers and I strolled outside and just enjoyed the view, the sun, and the wind. We took lots of pictures, but I'll just leave you with this one which was exactly what we could see from where we were seated. If you walk the path, you can see the golf course on one side and rolling hills on the other.

We had lots more meals during our trip, and I shall be posting about them daily. For now, I'm just sharing this breakfast with you.
