plow and sow your fields

Yesterday we rented a tiller and managed to tie it down/into the trunk and tilled up our front yard/patch all over the place! We also grabbed a few bags of manure and peat moss to help put some much needed extra help into the ground and tilled that as well. I then took all my seed packets and kind of threw them around, so I'm excited to see what pops up in a couple weeks. Our neighbor was super excited that we were doing it, to help our house look less like "a haunted house" and more respectable. heh. I can see how it could look like that. I'm hoping in June we get some actually work done to the outside of the house, like replacing/fixing windows and some of the rotting siding work. I told her if she wanted, she could also throw in some seeds she has around her house that she doesnt know where/what to do with. Since there isn't a theme, rhyme or reason with the plantings it wouldnt hurt to add anything else into the mess.
Then I also brought out my pots I collected from downstairs and placed them where I want them to be. Not sure if I should also plant those, since it can still get chilly at night. I've been bringing in all the other potted plants which have been living inside all winter, however I guess since I planted the yard planting pots should be fine. Also from seeds so its like not the tiny flowers are coming from a greenhouse to the harsh elements of outside.
Anyway, again I'm getting excited about summertime - except today's weather is pretty cold and cloudy (about 40 - 50 instead of upper 60's which to me at this point is chilly).

In other news, turns out I'm not finished with my paralegal classes at the end of this month. :( I have a 10 week review class for the exam in August. curses. So, technically done but since the exam doesnt happen again until August I might as well take the review class since its included in tuition. man. So close and yet so very far away. :(
