spring time! planting time!

I'm so excited to see my tulips popping up! I went shopping this last weekend to pick up some seeds in order to spread them out in the "hellstrip" - which is the strip of dirt/grass between the sidewalk and street. I'm pretty pumped about it, I have a bunch of different kinds and researched some other plants to put in. I looked up plants that are hardy and will just take over the strip area. I'm not trying to get a specific look really, just something full of color and not little dead grass clumps. I also was given two day lily plants from my mom to put in my green square right in front, to hang out with my tulips and rose bush.
I'm hoping this year to have the time/energy/money to really make the front porch a really nice area to hang out on when we grill and have people over.
Time to plan the manual labor!
