*cries* This section--almost too long to be called a chapter--is just amazing and heartbreaking and perfect, and you included Stevie, and Burt, and *hugs for everyone*.

I need to thank you. I've read part A and almost criend myself thinking how long we will have to wait for the next one. And then... I sw "part B" link :D:D:D:D I wouldn't sleep today, so... THANK YOU :)
It's a pity Kurt doesn't go with Burt and you know what? I was wondering the same about Andersons. Maybe it will be better to find them tell them "Blaine's gay, if you are not okay with it, tell us and we'll tell him you moved to Europe. You don't have to hurt him even more."

Waiting for more!

Thanks for commenting! I'm glad you're enjoying it :)

Actually, what's funny is I would completely buy either Burt or Beckett Warren pulling the Andersons to the side before they reach Blaine and telling them that.

However, this story is Blaine's PoV, so if it happened at all, I guess we never get to find out.

I'll try to get the epilogue up by the weekend.

I flipped out when I saw that you updated. It is beyond words how good this story is. I'm both eagerly waiting for and dreading the end of this. The scene with Blaine and the guy who picked them up on the highway, and the part where he's willing to try anything to protect Stevie... my heart broke. This is SO GOOD!

Thanks for your comment! When we finally reach the end, you can comfort yourself in the knowledge that I've got a sequel planned out. It will be slower posting, but you can look for it to start emerging at some point this fall.

Actually, it's not supposed to be a sequel at all. It was originally the second half of the story, but there was no way I'd have been able to get it finished before I headed back to school, so I ended up plotting two separate stories so I didn't end up with a ginormous WIP sitting around collecting dust.

I knew this part was gonna make me cry like a baby, but I read it anyway. Oh, my heart...

I've really loved what you've done with this plotline. I can definitely see where you referenced Steven Stayner's story, but I like the interesting changes you've made as well. I'm really looking forward to the next parts and hope you'll give Blaine a happier ending than the real Steven. My mom was obsessed with true crimes (and she's the sweetest, gentlest little lady you'll ever meet :P) so I had the Adam Walsh and Steven Stayner cases used as object lessons regarding stranger danger when I was a child and so many of these cases still just haunt me.

Just thank you so much for writing this and sharing it! You're a fabulous writer!

Oh my God, don't worry. I'm intentionally putting parts in the sequel set several years in the future so I can point to it and be all, "Are you paying attention, universe? This is what we call an acceptable endingAnd now I have to apologise because you've set me off about the unfairness of real life and there's no way for me to stop the rant that's going to unleash itself. You can skip it, I don't mind ( ... )

I guessed it was going to be Stevie, but that didn't help with the horror when Tom showed up with him.

I really hope Tom was still passed out when they got there.

I was so glad to see this update, and am now eagerly awaiting the epilogue.

Your story seriously leaves me a ball of nerves and just aching. It's just amazing.

I'm very much looking forward to the epilogue. And future stories, as well.

Thanks! I'm glad you like the story.

The epilogue will be up soon, and the sequel will have a bit of a wait, I'm afraid, but it will be posted eventually.
