HOLY MOLY THIS PART. D: I can't even, oh my gosh, so intense! I was freaking out the whole time, omg. I'm completely exhausted so this review is going to be absolutely incoherent, I'm so sorry, but I wanted to say something before I fell asleep.
I cannot get over the fact that SOMEONE KNOWS, OMG, and that I don't even have any idea where this story is going to go. I'm so excited to read more and find out, because MY GOD this chapter. The kiss with Rachel, the complete breakdown that I think you wrote incredibly well, the fact that they called Kurt, and the conversation in the car? So, so perfect. Oh, you just hit so many emotional notes, and my heart just broke for Blaine a million times over.
Also, oh god, the feelings of self-hatred and disgust -- that Blaine feels that what's happened to him has somehow made him gay -- just completely annihilated me. The issues surrounding sexuality, masculinity, and sexual assault for men are so incredibly dense and varied, and you hit on so many things here that just shattered my heart. Blaine'

I'm really glad you liked this part. Truth be told, it's been my favourite to write so far. Every time I wrote something too depressing I went back to the party scene and the car scene (and one scene a little later on, but I can't tell you about it because it's not posted :p) and wrote up a storm. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why I kept coming back to them but the I realized that they're all Hugging Scenes. So whenever I did something terrible to this poor Blaine I'd compensate by writing something where he gets the crap hugged out of him XD
I hope to give you the last of the Epic Hug Scenes not too long from now - parts of the final update are going faster than I thought they would, but I'm taking a little more time with it. A lot will be happening and I don't want to miss anything important. It will probably be up by mid-next week!
This chapter is really intense - and you handled it beautifully.
Still, it was really painful to read it.
I'm glad New Directions had the good sense to bring Kurt in to help Blaine at the party. I'm glad Kurt was sensitive enough to understand what Blaine was saying.
It had two of the biggest scenes in the whole story (the party and the car ride to Kurt's). I spent a ridiculous amount of time on them and had started to write them before I'd even posted any of the story at all, so I'm really glad it worked for you.
I was intending on reading the all the way through, but I simply had to take a breather after this sub-chapter. It feels like I'm on a fictional adrenaline rush.
Blaine you poor darling come here and let me cuddle you ;__: I'm so relieved that he finally told Kurt what he's been through. It's an incredibly abridged version, of course, but it still counts. I can't wait to see how and if Kurt will dig a little deeper to help wrestle Blaine free from his demons.
Thank you for commenting! I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far. Kurt definitely is going to help Blaine out a lot in the future, but a lot of that is also going to be in the sequel when I get it posted, so I can take a little more time with the comfort part of all the h/c :)
