Starting to see results

Sep 04, 2004 10:55

Not on the scale, unfortunately. But I am starting to be able to see actual muscles in my arms and legs, instead of just shapeless blobs. Just littlish dents along the outlines, but still, visible improvement. The downside of that is then the fat *really* hangs off in icky blobs. BUT! Results, nonetheless.

Did the Neena and Veena "arms and abs" workout this morning. It's a good workout, but only if you already know something about how to work out safely. They really don't give very good (or, really, any) instructions on how to protect your back, which surprises me as surely they must take those steps themselves. And no modifications at all. So, good if you already know what you're doing, really not good if you're a beginner, which is who they market to primarily. Also, I was kind of hoping it would be a tad more aerobic.

FitDay.com has to be lying to me, though. Because they're telling me I'm burning more calories than I'm taking in each day, some days burning twice as many or more, but yet I actually went *up* in weight this week? I need to get back on the bike and do some more aerobic stuff. Now that the kids are back in school and it's cooling off, that should be more doable during the day. On weekdays anyhow.
