Planning travel after all

So, after the mega car repairs, I thought I might not make it to Philly after all this year. I also wondered if I should dare buy tickets for Portus when I know there's another massive expense coming up whenever I replace that odometer circuit board.

What changed my mind, you may ask? A trip to the chiropractor. No, really. Because Patsfan and I have the same chiropractor, and he's a very chatty sort. And he happened this week to say, "So I hear you two might be going back to Europe sometime soon."

Oh, really?

I've been saying I want to go back to England and Scotland pretty much since we left (though not in November again). The usual answer I get is something along the lines of, "We should go see other places before we go back to places we've already been." By which logic we have to see the entire world before revisiting anyplace, but whatever. I'd like to go back and see some of the things we missed but also revisit places we did see. I still haven't had the chance to ask Patsfan what that was about so I don't know what (much less when) he has in mind. Maybe it's supposed to be a surprise.

The point is, whether he's thinking of the UK or some other country (bets would be on Italy or Ireland), he's thinking we can afford an international trip of some kind. In which case, dude, Philly and Portus are so back on. Though in case his surprise might be for next summer, I suppose I'd better let him in on those plans sometime soon.
