So a quick run down of my weekend.
I'm visiting here in Sacramento and have been since Friday. It's been a truly fantastic weekend, and reminds me why I love my friends so much.
We went out dancing Friday night at Confusion, and had a great time laughing and well, laughing. Not much dancing was done. It was great to see some of you fabulous people, though it was dead as a doornail for most of the evening.
Saturday, Sermon Siren worked on some music, and had a late, but delicious dinner with great company as well!
Sunday was phenomenal. Tina and I grabbed some breakfast, picked up a few things, went shopping, came home, got prepared and then Sermon Siren had our first photo session and for the record, are very pleased with the results. Those will be up soon on www.myspace.com/sermonsiren. We went for dinner with our photographer, and then they surprised me with a round of minature golf! We had a blast, I hadn't played in years and I think I regressed back to being ten for a couple of hours. Then it was home again, where we readied for the Rage which, despite the lack of stellar music, was great. We saw a lot of people we hadn't seen in ages, and got to catch up. We ended up at the club in the parking lot till nearly three am talking with Brian, from Ry's former band Spiral, and sharing our music with him, and hearing some of his.
Monday we got our pictures developed and Tina and I had coffee and an impromptu band meeting, which proved to be quite productive, and then we scattered off to Ryan's dad's house, where we had an spur of the moment jam session/showcase and enjoyed a fantastic dinner and even more wonderful company. Ryan went off to work, and Tina and I came back to the house and nearly completed a new Sermon Siren track. Talk about Productive!
Today is far more low key. I'm the only one awake as of yet, but the plan is to go rent some of the final season of Queer as Folk, and have some lunch somewhere in the interim. I love love love you all.
