The rim of white mountains around the south side of the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys this weeks has been beautiful, but why did it have to be so cold down on the valley floor?

I say it again:  Californians are solar powered -- driving in the rain is beyond most of them, judging from the accident rate on Monday . . .
