A few days late, but New Years info nonetheless. I thought this would be easier to get through than me yammering on for a few paragraphs. Though honestly, if you're interested, but lazy, here are the main points:
In 2009 I will:
- get a teaching job and worry a bit less about money
- help Joey around the house more
- hopefully get a puppy!
- keep up friendships better
1. Will you be looking for a new job?
Definitely. I miss working fulltime. And getting paid decently ... Oh yeah, and I want to start that whole career thing I've been working on ...
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
Nope. Rather happy with the one I'm in. :)
3. New house?
Probably. I don't think we can hang here for another winter. It's fucking cold here.
4. What will you do differently in 2009?
Lots of stuff I'm sure ... specifically, be more disciplined about eating healthy foods and spending money.
5. New Year’s resolution?
Eh, not big for resolutions. But one thing I realized during the holidays was that I'm starting to take advantage of Joey's niceness. I have a lot more time than he does and I really need to do more to help keep the house clean and all that. Nothing too huge, but it's important to him, so I should make it important to me too.
6. What will you not be doing in 2009?
Ummm, I really don't know how to answer this question.
7. Any trips planned?
Gorge! Probably camping during the summer with Joey.
8. Wedding plans?
Karen's getting married in September ... another friend is getting married the weekend before her in September ... another friend is getting married in June ... blah! Oh, was this asking about my wedding plans? I have none. And don't want any at the moment.
9. What’s on your calendar?
Aforementioned weddings, first day of teaching, Gorge and other DMB show(s) ... I dunno, I only plan a week or two in advance, so how am I supposed to know?
10. What can’t you wait for?
Teaching! Full time!
11. What would you like to see happen differently?
Financial stuff
12. What about yourself will you be changing?
Aside from career-related stuff, I'll be focusing on my photography skills, and the stuff I said earlier about making housekeeping stuff a higher priority.
13. What happened in 2008 that you didn’t think would ever happen?
Saw DMB on my birthday in Colorado, watched a wedding in Vegas
14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about?
Yep. Though I think I'm pretty nice already.
15. Will you dress differently this year than you did in 2008?
Not really. I'll still have teacher clothes for the day, jeans and band shirts for nights and weekends. :)
16. Will you start or quit drinking?
Nope. I'll be drinking less beer though. More wine ...
17. Will you better your relationship with your family?
Things are good in that department.
18. Will you do charity work?
Yep. Lots of it.
19. Will you go to bars?
Ha, yes.
20. Will you be nice to people you don’t know?
I usually am.
21. Do you expect 2009 to be a good year for you?
Yep. All the work I've been putting in for the last year and a half will finally come to fruition and I can move on to more important things in life than a career.
22. How much did you change from this time last year till now?
Hmmm, not too much. Moved in with Joey, but we were already living together at the Monster house last December ... still in school ... blah ... still poor ...
23. Do you plan on having a child?
Absolutely not.
24. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now?
Yep. :)
25. Major lifestyle changes?
I'll be working full time (hopefully)! A regular salary! And benefits! Woohoo! That will also probably result in us moving, and getting a puppy. :D
26. Will you be moving?
Ha, see above. Probably.
27. What will you make sure doesn’t happen in 2009 that happened in 2008?
I feel like I've neglected some friendships because I just haven't had the time or energy to keep them up. This includes pretty much everyone who reads my LJ - especially you San Jose peeps. I'm sorry!
28. What were your New Year’s Eve plans?
Joey and I watched his cousin get married at the Wynn in Vegas. It was gorgeous. At midnight we were at the dance club inside the Wynn. It was ... OK. I got a wonderful kiss at midnight, and lots of hugs right after from Joey's family. I just really hate clubs. We hung out in the casino after that, playing penny slots and getting free drinks. That part was fun. :)
29. Did you have someone to kiss at midnight?
Yep. :)
30. Wish for 2009?
Get a teaching job in a good district, get financially stable, then focus on the future. Specifically the future with Joey. :) Oh, and we want a puppy!!!
