Okay, well...
I got the new account, I dumped all my crap on it, everything ran fine so I told them to flip the switch (aka change the DNS).
While I waited for the DNS to propagate, I installed a new version of MediaWiki (boo, no SVN on my server). By the time it was done, the DNS had propagated, so I reinstalled the wiki. I only had one problem with that: ImageMagick is missing a library, and it was making only certain images crap out, but I changed it to GD and everything was fine (only had to reupload the images three fricking times).
So all in all, everything's working. Woot. *collapses*
