I have sold my soul to science. @_@
Spent nine utterly painful hours staring into a microscope today and am expected to continue doing so all week (because my professor wants results and apparently my project is far more important than I thought it was << >>; ). Probably plucked out approximately 4,000 Drosophila embryos while suffering from a minor headache from the microscope and random back pains because I've been sitting on my butt for so long.

In other news, to my utter surprise, Rafael came back to campus (after Vegas) for a day to say goodbye to everyone. He called me spontaneously so of course I ran outside in the blistering heat to find him. We sat (outside -_-;; ) and talked for an hour, and then he gave me a giant hug and a kiss on my cheek. Now he's officially going back to Germany, which makes me inifinitely sadder. Damn him for being such a perfect guy and being so utterly unavaliable. D: And he said something really weird like how he was going to be married in two years, 'maybe'. Wtf does that mean? Oo;;
In other news, I am lapsing back into my Lord of the RIngs obsession again, as I do every few months. Thankfully,
rufustehshinra was nice enough to rpg Haldir/Legolas with me, WHICH MAKES ME SO SUPREMELY HAPPY. *squees* Tasteful elven smut is sooooooooooooo much fun to do. It makes me just melt inside. Have also gotten in the habit of rpging cloncest (Sephiroth/Kadaj/Yazoo) with
rufustehshinra and Katie, which makes for even MORE awesomeness because it's just so pretty... 8D Am falling a bit behind in
jardin_du_ciel but I THINK I'm on top of things over at
discordia_rp, so all is good there. Am still waiting for the apps for some people. ^^; But sena is playing Ed at Discordia now, YAY!
