Thanks for everyone that helped
rufustehshinra and allowed me to panic/vent about it without actually being there. ._.;
So basically, there's a few situations that test my patience. One is when people are irresponsible. It's fine if you do it once or twice 'cause everyone forgets things, but if you're just... constantly irresponsible, it just makes me want to take a mallet to your head. The other would be when people don't know what they're doing, don't get out of the way, and endanger other people because of their sheer stupidity. This relates specifically to dance, 'cause that's what happened today.
In the climax of the ballet piece my friend and I choreographed, me and another girl run across each other on stage and do split-jumps in the air. Now, one of the guys (the one that doesn't know what he's doing) ended up in our way the first time, so we both skipped the jump and did really awkward looking walks around him. He should NOT have been there, and I was pissed. The moment we got through the rest of the dance I turned to him and was like "Tim, this isn't funny. We could have gotten hurt. You NEED to be further up so Bradley and I can do our jump."
So then we had try two. AND HE DID IT AGAIN. This time Bradley basically ran into him, and I just didn't even ATTEMPT the jump. I also yelled out really loudly when I was running to my position (at him, actually) and was like "TIM, MOVE." And he just stood there, shocked out of his mind, and basically waited to get hit by two girls going really fast.
So, basically, our dance looks like shit there and it's 'cause for some reason, this kid has no survival instinct and does not even GET OUT OF THE WAY. Also, the jump we were doing was really, really big and really, really high, and if we (the other girl and I) slammed into him at full speed, we could have easily broken a foot or a toe or a shin trying to land from it.
And yes, I don't care if there's the show's directors and video cameras aimed at us while pretty music is playing in the background, I WILL yell at you in the middle of a dance if you mess up that badly and you could've easily injured two other people.
I don't know if I can watch the video of the rehearsal, it'll just be painful.
Also, my tango partner wasn't there 'cause of an interview, so I had to dance by myself and I couldn't do any of the cool moves I wanted to do. *sad*
Yes, I realize this post makes me seem like a chauvinistic bitch and yes, I realize that a lot of people can't dance. I don't take it personally if you can't dance and I don't judge people on their dancing ability. But if you can't dance, please don't beg to be put into the dance and then be a nuisance to everyone else. I really, really do not like it when the one person that sucks makes the entire dance look terrible. T___T I also don't like it if me or anyone else in MY dance has a high risk of breaking a foot or a toe because you're too stupid to get out of the way.
EDIT: Also, I think
this is win. (I approve of the parents, though I feel bad for the child. ^^; ) [Click on "this" if the picture below doesn't work.]
