Hellboy 2 = ORGASM

HOLY COW. HOOOOOLY COW. The elven Prince Nuada IS SO AWESOME. (And extremely attractive. ^^; ) You don't understand, this guy will kick Legolas's ASS and look just as good doing it!!! Yes, that did just come out of my mouth. Legolas, move over, you've totally got a new competitor. 83

The first scene opens up with him shirtless and practicing his fight abilities. Words cannot describe how absolutely gorgeous or beautiful his fighting style is. It's blatantly Asian, and they don't bother to hide the fact that his technique is entirely based off Chinese choreography. His moves are incredibly familiar to me because they look like they came straight from Hero and other famous Asian movies. (Right down to the fighting with water droplets idea.) From the way he moves, he can give Jet Li a run for his money and don't get me wrong, I have the UPMOST respect for Jet Li. I truly, deeply think that Prince Nuada's fight scenes are better than any I've ever seen in other movies. His moves are orgasmic.

AND HIS HAIR! His hair is pure love! Legolas had his hair tied up and stuff, but this guy's hair is just free-floating and I got sooo distracted by pretty white hair. And he always lands with his hair perfectly tossed over one shoulder, that sort of thing. Hot. He just oozes sex from his voice and his body and his elegant movements. He's basically the closest to a Sephiroth type of character I've ever seen in live-action movies. :D *worships*

ANYHOO. What's better than pretty elves? Pretty, telepathic elves. What's better than that? Twin telepathic elves. What's even better than that? Telepathic elven twincest.

Luke Goss, the actor for Prince Nuada, also noted that his character admired and revered his twin sister, portrayed by Anna Walton. He said of the prince and the princess, "There is an incestuous relationship that's not maybe overly obvious to everybody, but some people hopefully will pick up on the fact, certainly from my direction towards her." Anne Walton, who played Princess Nuala, the twin sister, elaborated on the incestuous tones between her character and Prince Nuada, "He's the dark side and she's the light side and they're pulled apart and pulled back together again, and she's trying to get away because she knows there is something she has to do. He can't let that go and they can't really do anything without each other so it's a really interesting thing."

God, that scene was so wicked. I know, it's weird. I think I like twiins way too much for my own good.

As if you can't already tell, I'm absolutely in love with the elves from this movie, and I can't wait to see what they're going to look when Guillermo Del Toro works on The Hobbit. He designed these beautiful, flowing clothes them, too, so I have complete and utter faith that any LOTR elves will look stunning and even better than they did before in the future.

And I swear I'm not going crazy or being extremely bias! There's a lot of other Lord of the Rings similarities in this movie. I don't know if they're from the comic or just from Del Toro's awesome imagination. For one, besides being a woodland prince, Prince Nuada also has twin 'long knives' that he carries on his back, though these actually extend into these incredible spears. Two, the beginning 'war-telling' scene showed elves and men fighting, and it definitely brought back flashbacks of the Lord of the Rings movies, especially with all the elves wearing beautiful helmets and long spears. Three, the elves speak some sort of ancient Gaelic, which I think LOTR elvish was also based on because some of the words sounded very similar. Father is "Adar" in LOTR Sindarin, and Prince Nuada used a very similar sounding word.

The plot is pretty solid in this movie, and the filming is great. For the most part, the acting was good, but it kind of decreased as the movie went on. There were tons of random humor though, especially 'manly bonding' between Abe and Hellboy that made everyone laugh. (Strangely, they kept making fun of Trenton, NJ, which made me and my other Jersey friend laugh outloud when they mentioned it.) The new addition to the team, Dr. Krauss, was actually rather funny mainly because of his extremely thick accent. He was kind of a useless character later on, but he was an interesting newcomer nonetheless.

CG was amazing, as expected. Most of the movie was heavily reliant on costumes though, so that was pretty damn cool to see all the crazy creatures that Del Toro brought to life. Hellboy's personality didn't change one bit, and he's starting to remind me of Dante from Devil May Cry more and more. He's such a typical GUY. XD Liz Sherman, the pyro girl, has some amazing fire scenes in this movie (though I was almost too busy freaking out over Prince Nuada to notice) and her personality definitely got a lot more forceful and a lot more admirable. She has a hot new look, too, which I totally approve!

The only downside was the love scenes (besides the twincest library scene) 'cause the dialogue was rather terrible, but I guess you can't really do much about those but attempt to get through them, lol.

Basically, this movie is totally worth it. GO SEE SO I CAN HAVE SOMEONE TO FREAK OUT OVER WHAT AN ORGASMIC TREAT THIS MOVIE IS. 8D
