I lost.
I submitted some poetry to a Princeton poetry contest, and the results are supposed to be up on their website but they aren't. I have checked three or four times saying to myself: alright, it's okay if you don't win. But now the mantra is wearing off, and I just saw this sentence on their web page: "Due to the volume of entries, only winners will be notified;" i was never notified. I lost. See now, mantras really don't ever help.
