i'm the biggest dork i know!
Soooo... I just got back from the children's book fair on campus where I spent almost $45 dollars on childrens books obviously! Yesterday was the second conference which wasn't nearly as good as the first, but one of the speakers who was really interesting was an author who was also at the book fair. She writes books for like 3-5 grade students about history!!! my two loves as far as teaching in one- books and history made FUN!!! so OF COURSE i bought not one, not two, but FIVE of her books! and i even got her to sign one since i was there and all. And now, the only thing i want to do is start READING some of those wonderful books that are sitting on my desk, but i won't allow myself too. That's because I made a list of all the work i have to do in the next month of the semester and it turns out that i have an obsene amount of work considering how we only have three more weeks of classes. That's how you know it's the end of the semester i guess
Anyway, I also bought a really cute picture book that I really enjoyed. there were more books by that author there, but since it's a picture book, it was way more expensive than the other books I bought, so I will have to collect more books by this author more slowly.
And now, it is time for me to stop being the cutest teacher dork of all time and GET TO WORK! UGH!!!!! (any and all interruptions are welcome!!!)
