Grandma

I got a call from Alverna today just as I would have landed from the plane ride from Joplin to KC. Called her back and they couldn't tell her much up at the hospital since she wasn't authorized to get information. Though she didn't think grandma was doing real well. I got the information to call the hospital and talk to the nurse and they had her on oxygen though it was a low amount and she was doing good on that. She was producing urin well and they where finally able to understand her a little better. They had talked to the nursing home and found that many times it was hard to understand her so it wasn't anything abnormal. They where going to do a swollow study at some point. While I was on the phone with them I got the authorization set up for others to call and find out about her. Called Alverna back so she knew how to get through and let her know what I had found out. Alverna was to go up there this evening before 7pm and see her. Called dad though he wouln't have made the drive back down to the lake yet in the time and left him a message so he knew as well.

Haven't heard any more from the hospital, Alverna, or the nursing home so I guess no news is good news there. As far as I know she is still in the hospital. By the time we landed got bags and road to the hotel we where diffently hungery and headed to Hard Rock Cafe to eat. By the time we where done with the hour difference in the time it was too late to call out tonight unless I just really needed to. So at some break in training or some point tomorrow I'll call out to Dodge and see how she is doing.

In any news this hotel far beats what I was in last week.
