(no subject)
Wednesday night (3/25) I duo'd for a bit with Francis' DRK24 in Valkurm, using FoV. I brought my SCH and sync'd down to him. We managed to use up most of my emp band (I got there after he had already started). Really, I just wanted to tag along and do something with him; I had just been sitting aimlessly in my Mog House. I've been finding myself doing that a lot lately... sometimes I just don't have the energy to do something longer and more intensive like meriting on BRD, yet I also don't feel motivated to do smaller things like Campaign. I don't know why... Well anyway, I managed to ding SCH38, and Francis got DRK25. After he logged, I went to Qufim and solo'd for a few minutes and finished up by band (but I couldn't FoV, since it wasn't a new Vana'diel day yet).
Thursday things picked up a bit. Francis, Xedrik, and I, along with some ThunderDownUnder LSers (Taaz, Kingsofcash) and a random BLU (Sorra), managed to get both AM29 and AM31 fights done! That felt good, and even though the fights were easy, it felt like an accomplishment.
Friday night Francis and I had a nice dinner at his place (radish cakes my mom made, and beef made by Francis) and we watched Role Models on DVD. We need to have a threesome with Paul Rudd. <3 Later on Friday night, I helped a few TDUers on ZM8 (the same mission we helped others with earlier in the week). Gotta love easy missions that make me feel like I'm actually a competent player.
Saturday daytime, I was in another rut in game... just didn't have the energy to do anything really. Instead I played some Worms World Party. For a while, Xedrik and I tried to play a match together over the internet, but we couldn't get the connection working right. In the end (after playing more single player) I realized there may have been some problem on my end (I had to reboot to even get it working in single-player again).
Saturday evening, we went out to see a show called Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center, to celebrate the birthday of Francis' friend Marissa. I had a really good time, and I definitely recommend the show. Afterwards, we went to a bar in DC called McFadden's. It was all right, but I think it made me and Francis feel a little old... maybe we just aren't the bar-going type?
Today (Sunday) was another DnD session. Unfortunately the game ran a bit long, and we missed a dinner outing for Marissa's birthday. Also, Francis' cold is definitely getting worse; so in the end, we decided to pick up some food and just go back to his place to watch TV. My poor Francis. :( On the bright side, my Warlord ding'd level 8.
/sigh Another Sunday night... why do I always get in a funk on Sunday nights?
