I put together a personal website back in ’00, and I added essays to it periodically over the few years following. I haven’t done much with it since around ’03 or ’04. Nevertheless, an essay I wrote back in 2000,
Chaos Dogma, continues to draw attention. It’s been cited and debated in a few places over the years, most recently on January 25th of this year on a site called JoeUser (and I was even properly credited and linked to!).
But the fun doesn’t end there. The essay was cited in the book Magia Sexualis: Sex, Magic, and Liberation in Modern Western Esotericism by Hugh B. Urban. I haven’t seen the quote, but here’s a link to the
footnote.
This is really kind of cool.
(For those keeping score, my essay
Why Amber Should Be Played Diceless drew a fair amount of attention at one point, but not nearly to the same degree.)
