Every couple of seasons of whatever sport you like, there is a semifinal round match-up that promises to be the "real" Super Bowl/World Series/Stanley Cup/Whatever. It might be because the teams are big rivals or because they're considered the two best teams or what have you. The point is that it generates a lot of interest, sometimes more than the final does.
I was thinking about this because the American Free Press is talking about "record numbers" turning out to vote. I hope these people will still vote in November if their favorite candidate loses today.
