A while back I had a conversation with a friend about being vegetarian, which I am, which doesn't come up very often because I don't tend to bring it up very often. It's kind of a touchy thing sometimes, because a bunch of vegetarians are jerks about being vegetarians, and lots of people who aren't are jerks, too, and it's all very silly. So anyway I drew things about the whole wide range of reactions I have gotten to my diet.
I have had very few people actually have this reaction in person. Or even directly through some means like email or the internet or something else that's all fancy and not in person, but I have seen plenty of people express that sort of attitude, mostly about themselves.
The most frequent thing I get is people asking me what vegetarianism encompasses, because there's a lot of confusion between pescatarain/vegetarian/vegan, especially at restaurants. And I had a whole series of panels about it with the usual looks of mild upset/consternation/confusion but let's just skip ahead to the punchline (courtesy of

): no thank you
And the last one, oddly, I have gotten in person a bit.
It's pretty strange.
And of course I have gotten loads of normal people who are just like "oh, I didn't know that. Will you be able to eat anything on this menu?" and I'll be like "yeah dude I'm fine" and then we high five and fight crime together
